Gordon Bogden
Executive Chairman, Black Loon Group
Gordon is the Founder and Chairman of Black Loon Group, a private mining investment, and financial and strategic advisory business. He has a long career in mining development and finance, first as a geophysicist, then as a senior investment banker with CIBC, N.M. Rothschild Canada, Newcrest Capital, and National Bank Financial, and Gryphon Partners Canada, where he was a Co-Founder and Managing Partner. He was the CEO of Alloycorp Mining Inc. and is the current Chairman of the Canada Mining Innovation Council (CMIC), a past director of IAMGold, Royal Gold, Orvana Minerals, and other public mining companies, a past member of the Bridgepoint Active Healthcare Foundation Board and the Sinai Health Foundation Board, and a co-founding member of the Advisory Council of the Development Partner Institute. In 2013, Gordon was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for his work with Right To Play. He was also recruited for our Advisory Board in 2013.
