It keeps children in school and out of work. It teaches them how to prevent life-threatening diseases like HIV and malaria and keep them safe from exploitation and abuse. It gives girls the power to say no to unwanted sex, and make healthy decisions about their bodies and their futures.

We are transforming the lives of 1.52 million children each week. Using all forms of play - games, sport, poetry, performance, dance, art and music - we create lasting impact and empower children with the knowledge and skills to drive change in their lives, their families and their communities.

Every day the children in our programs rise above challenges that rob them of their dignity, their promise and put them at risk. We honour these Uprisers.
